this tragedy is so sad. totally unpreventable, too. i so wish i were in a better position financially to send some money to them. i would SO do that. my prayers are the only gifts i can give to help those poor people. god help each one, and bless them with what they need.
suz: the world has really come together over this tragedy. i hope we will soon see a good result from all of the efforts and giving. i pray for that too. x
I have friends who run a small hospital in Port au Prince. They are slowly but surely treating their patients, but their biggest problem is the ones that are supposed to be "recovered" won't leave. They have nowhere to go and are pitching tents around the hospital. You can see it all on their Facebook page (Haitian Community Hospital) or their web site www.haitihosp.org
The real help is going to be needed for years to come.
Hi Toni: I checked out their website, thanks for the link. Where are the Haitian people supposed to go now, this is the problem. New accommodations need to be built as soon and as quickly as possible. And something has to happen before the rainy season starts. Tents won't last 5 minutes.
