what keeps me busy.

this week i am babysitting owen for a few days.
let's just call him mr. push-it, prod-it, poke-it, press-it, pry-it-open and topple it over.

because that's what he does.
he's 16 months.
that's what babies his age do of course.
they want to know.
they want to see.
they want to touch.
then they want to go back and do it all again.
mind you, he does all of this whilst looking very cute and inquisitive the whole time.
my favourite thing is when he picks up the remote control, puts it to his ear and says
'hewwo.'
it kills me.
his language skills are improving.
he copies what you say.
as in, 'owie, do you want a banana?'
'nanana'
it's very,very cute.
i'm sure you agree.

okay, you might not think that's the cutest most adorable thing ever.
i was going to include a 2 minute video of him eating toast and peanut butter which is even cuter.
so think yourself lucky.

i do have 3 other grandkids, so don't think i'm playing favourites here.
each of them is adorable in their own right.
more than adorable in fact.
want me to prove it?

Wow, the wonder of it all.

how adorable is that?

Extremely adorable.
No video of them sleeping? That is always exciting...I have hours and hours of the girls sleeping!!!

Glad you are able to enjoy your little tots...I am sure you are getting your exercise following him around!

Absolutely gorgeous the lot of them. I am a very sad woman and would happily have sat through a few minutes of watching a baby eat a peanut butter sandwich.

Gorgeous!
So what was all this about nothing to say recently?
I think I might pick up a few tips about the TV control...saying 'hewwo' to it might be better than bashing it when it won't work.

Can I add my two to your childcare list?? They are far from being cute here in Florida at the moment. I cant tell you what the youngest has been up to or we will have the social services knocking on the hotel room door!

Loved the kiddie pictures and I must say I giggled at your wildlife post. Especially mistaking wild turkeys for dogs. I was menaced by a gang of wild turkeys the same day that President Obama visited Ottawa right after the inauguration. Really. Fantastic. My mum once said you never think you'll love anyone as much as you love your kids. And then along come the grandkids.

great photos, I can't wait until we have grandkids........hoping that will happen before we die!!!

Neither child seems in any hurry to have them, mind you in son's case it would help to have a girlfriend!!

Yes, life is good - and thank goodness for kids, who so often remind me that the best things in life are not things at all.

They are so stinkin' cute! Enjoy it now while they remain small. I have found that the older they get the less cute and more annoying they are.
