as in Monday.
in the a.m.
i have to go back to .......
W.O.R.K.!!!!
???
how can this be?
why wasn't i born rich instead of good looking?
why didn't i marry for money instead of love?
too bloody late for that now innit?
and getting back to normal also means getting back to normal eating!
who the hell invented chocolate anyway?
i hope he burns in hell.
because, surely, 'twas a HE.
right?
and why do people feel like they have to tempt weak willed me with the gorgeous food they made only to nibble daintily on their own minute portion?
yes you judi.
you and your hash brown casserole!
(which i still have a full container of in the fridge)
may God forgive you.
i promised myself i wouldn't do new year's resolutions.
what's the point?
but new year is a new start isn't it?
so all i'm going to say is that i'm going to eat less and move more.
that's it.
in a nutshell.
i know, it's not original. somebody else said it first but it sums it all up and it makes more sense than all of that "don't eat this, don't eat that" palaver.
and that's it.
i'm going to bed.
i haven't blogged much because i've been busy with jenn and great nanny noo noo.
and now i have to go back to work, and i'm never getting caught up am i?
but if i didn't say it before, i wish everyone a happy new year.
and i hope the world chocolate market collapses and that everyone has to eat salads and broccoli the same as me for the rest of their miserable lives too.

awwww, clip, it'll be alright... good blog, enjoyed it... you make me laugh and as i've said before diane is a brit and she says innit, and good'un, and all sorts. she taught me palarver, wanker, sod off, garden meaning yard, git, and so many more....
i just LOVE the british!
C
make a list of who you are and what you have...eating hash browns and chocolate will be at the bottom....judi
eating hash browns and chocolate?
together?
i hadn't even thought of that judi LOL
and, you are so right of course.
:-))
c: thanks. we british have so much wonderful language to share with the rest of the world don't we? LOL
oh I know the feel a.p.
I'm at work now and the office is freezing. Snow decided to arrive in London this morning so the exercise will have to start a little later than planned. Although I am going to have an alcohol-free month! lets see how long that lasts. Christmas tree is coming down tonight .. it's all over!
looking good in the sofa there :-)
Does shovelling the food faster into my mouth count as moving more? No?? Damn!
eat less and move more?
What a concept...somehow I mixed it up because I have been eating more and moving less. It is bad manners to move while eating..you must sit down!!!
I am all about the manners!!!
:)
just add lots of yummy stuff to your salads, i <3 feta cheese & grilled shrimp
Sara: it's all over you're right. and you're back to London? Good luck with the alcohol free month. I will check out the updated edition of the Guiness Book of World Records!hehehe
Mo:I think that it should be counted as a worthwhile technique cos I'm good at it. :-)
Suz: see I aim to teach. Now I feel so fulfilled. and smug! :-)
Gina: YES! lucky for me I love salads and will add all kinds of good stuff to them. So it's gotta help right? Just no chocolate dressing I suppose.
:-)
Happy New Year, CM!
Moving more and eating less blows, doesn't it? But that's what I will be doing this year as well. Sigh.
Kudos to Sara for attempting an alcohol free month. I'd settle for an alcohol free night right now. Having the kids home for nearly 3 weeks (snow)was enough to drive anyone to drink.
I have just heard my diet class has been postponed til 13th January. Hurray. There is a God!
I'm right there with ya, Sista. Just got home from school, have about 3 minutes before I have to leave for the bar, and I'm EXHAUSTED!!! It was good to see the babies today, since I missed them, but man, it was hard not to have rest time ALL DAY! ;-)
ahhh....
i knew that was going to be a jab at my good cookin' skinny moma!
jbxo
If you make a good enough salad, with the right salad dressing, you'll find yourself craving them. Well, that's what I've learned to say to myself anyway.
I just chomped through the last of the chocolate, so I guess I had better start on salads now......if I must!!!
I am mentioning your blog in a post I am doing on Friday on my blog.
Gill
clippy, what a picture! I've said it before and I'll say it again. You look terrific. x
I agree with Billy - great picture.
I'm going back on Weight watchers as soon as my baby's born - but until then I'm going to GORGE like my life depended on it!!!!
JHi:
we will be in the same club as a lot of my other commenters by the looks of it. Happy New Year to you and yours too. :-)
Expat Kat:
If you knew Sara, like I know Sara, oh, oh, oh what a girl...
she's the original party girl LOL, but in a Good way of course. I hear you on the being driven to drink.. :-)
Jo: LOL on the postponement of the diet class you sad woman you. I'd be the same. :-)
CTgirl:
I don't know HOW you do what you do and stay sane! or even AWAKE. I get tired just thinking about your schedule. AND you still take time to read blogs and comment. You are superwoman. :-))
clinka: I heart your skinny Momma and her hashbrown casserole... and everything else that she makes. She has something that I don't; i.e. Self control. :-)
Expat Mum: I do like me a good salad. Unfortunately I also like the bad stuff just as much. It's a fine balance, but with me, it's all or nothing.:-)
Gill:
Now I'm looking forward to Friday. :-)
Billy:
You old flatterer you! :-)
Pam:
I wish I was eating for two! Well actually I am, but only I'm doing it 'illegally'. :-)
