Lakeland Jo. This one's for you!

I know, in my last post I said I was going to hand out those lovely awards I was given and I never got around to it.
However, I do have one here which I'm going to pass on to Lakeland Jo as a way of sending her some love and moral support.
I popped over to Jo's blog today and got a shock to read that she has recently received the very bad news that she has cancer, for the second time. I really feel bad for her and you know what it's like, you feel like you get to know people a bit when you follow their lives and their ups and downs on a blog. I'm glad that she has been able to share this news with others. It can only do good. I hope it helps her.
I think Jo and I started blogging roughly at the same time. She's a Geordie lass like me. She's a lucky woman who lives in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The Lake District in England.
I've followed her blog reading about her fantastic success with weight loss and her love of Newcastle United, Florida and people in general. I just can't imagine what she's going through and I know she's been knocked sideways. I know she has a good husband and son and a close relationship with her mother and a loving family around her. I learned that on her blog.
See, I do know her.
Jo will have a struggle ahead of her and though I'm lucky to have no first hand experience of the same, I know that it will be a hard road during the treatment, which is to come. I just want her to know that there are people who are willing her to stay strong and who are on her side. That she will have people who are thinking of her and hoping she's doing well, who will be keeping her and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
If you don't know Jo just pop over there and get acquainted and if you do, then pop in again and give her a bit of love.

This is my award for Jo.
Hugs to you hinny,
Clippy Mat :-)

I don't know Jo but that is about to be remedied.

This blogging lark can really make people that we've never met seem the bestest friends. We open ourselves up on our blogs and like-minded souls come and share and get a place in our heart.

Yesterday I read about a blogger who had died. I didn't even know of her blog and went to find out about her retrospectively and it made me very sad. People who only live in the 'real world' have no idea how excellent a thing blogging can be.

A lovely post, Clippy.

Hi Jo:
That's great! I hope you know that when you feel down, people, some of whom who you don't even know, will be thinking of you and hoping the best for you.
The power of positive thinking.
I hope it gives you a lift.
Hugs,
:-)

This is a lovely thing to do Clippy. Someone once told me that bloggy friends weren't like real people - well they are aren't they!

Gail: is that you? LOL nice to see you again. Yes, I agree. Bloggy friends are friends all the same.

I went over too and left a message. I used to visit a lot last year when her son was in Aussie but then lost track when I got busy. It's a wake up call to make sure busy doesn't take up too much time and people come first. All the Georgie Best. X
