Flash mob let down

So we got up at the crack of dawn and went into work at 6.15 for the recreation of the flash mob event as mentioned in previous posts.
However that's not what it turned out to be which was a bit disappointing.
The TV show, Canada AM, was there and it was interesting to see them go back and forwards between the live feed and the studio where the rest of the program was coming from.
We expected the same situation to be re-created with the singers dispersed among the crowd and to begin singing as before.
That's the reason I wanted to go.
But instead they were performing as a choir and after sitting around waiting for a couple of hours we were told that they would actually perform at 8.50 a.m.
That's 10 minutes before the end of the show.
What?
Why did they tell us to be there at 6.15 then?
With hundreds of people there we had to fight for a space to see and in the end we were lined up against a wall and could only see the backs of those in the choir.
So it was actually a bit of a bust.
I did record it and saw myself on TV when I got home.
Every time a camera pointed in our direction we waved like a couple of maniacs and it was pretty embarrassing to watch.
I deleted the evidence pronto.
This YouTube video is what the local cable TV station ran about the event.
If you scan the people around the perimeter you might see me.
Other than that as I say it was a total let down and by 2 p.m. I was ready for my bed and feeling very cranky at work.
We'd gotten up at 5 after all.
The original video goes from strength to strength on YouTube tho.

That is just dreadful!
What was the idea of not reproducing the very effect that had turned everyone on in the first place?
Sack the lot!

As you can see from the above the season of peace and goodwill to man is going strong as usual...

You were obviously in the dodgy looking security man disguise at about 4.20 weren't you? I love the flash mob thing but I'm beginning to think they're losing their surprise element.

Ah... the fake world of TV strikes again and turns all our dreams and illusions to dust! But on the bright side, at least you have appeared on TV now!

Bum! That's not the same at all. You'd have been better going to see them in concert.
Still it's good to know you waved like a loon.

Well I couldn't see anyone waving like a loon. I shall have to watch it again.

I'm sorry that this did not go as you had hoped it would. I think in TV things seldom do...it's really another world those folks inhabit. I mean, if you think about the term "Reality TV" that right there tells you what you need to start with, right?
Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends! Merry Christmas, Clippy!

Oh what a let down Clippy. Sorry you didn't get to get your groove on! It was a great flash mob though.
