A p.s. to my last post

Regarding lost rings. I came across this story.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16374283

this is the part that i love:

"The couple believe the ring fell into a sink back in 1995 and was lost in vegetable peelings that were turned into compost or fed to their sheep."

see, it could happen.
the sheep laid a golden egg!

Wow, that is truly incredible!
Reminds me of the time (17 years ago) when I was pregnant with my second. I was worried about my fingers swelling and had taken of my diamond band. About two weeks later, I was walking to the local park with my then 2 year old daughter, and noticed something sparkling on her thumb. Yes, you've guessed it, my Tiffany ring was just about to get lost in the local park......What a save!

Well saved Toni. I wonder if we should all just go for permanent tattoos on our ring fingers instead of wedding bands?

Hooray - what an encouraging story! I have hope for your happy ending, too.

That is amazing!!!! Perhaps your brother will plant a garden in hopes of your ring turning up? It would be lovely inside a juicy red tomato. No?

Karen, thank you. Me too. :-)

Suz: I have forwarded your suggestion to my brother. I'm sure he'll be eager to take it up. I look forward to hearing about his first crop. :-)

Great story! My poor old silver wedding band has snapped and is currently sat in my jewelry box. Hubby got me a new stainless steel band which I thought was a good idea, but it looks like I have a car part on my finger.

Pam: I know, I've replaced the ring I lost with a big silver one which has a gold ring around it which 'twirls'. It's big and a bit car-partish too but I love it.

My nanna believes in praying to St Jude. It worked for my aunt recently who lost a stone from her engagement ring, and just at christmas I asked her to give it a whirl for Flynns lost Lego Chewbacca figure(hes 8-this thing was akin to a 30yr old engagement stone believe me) & lo and behold, he rocked up a few days later in the car!

Nothing to lose hey!
